Abstract

The presented text is a review of a publication containing the text of the novel Century of Crazy People by Sokrat Janowicz in Belarusian, along with its first comprehensive translation into Polish. The author of this review emphasizes the effort put into the editorial work, but at the same time indicates quite significant shortcomings of the collection: lack of consistency in the recording of source materials, overlapping and repetition of content in the comments, lack of an extensive introduction explaining editorial and translation decisions. Such advantages of the edition as the introduction of new experimental editorial strategies, the use of „brahawica”, an interesting layout of the content, as well as the use of various forms of translation (intra- and interlingual), which gives it a unique character, have been emphasized.
