Abstract
This article analyzes the work of Wojciech Kass, with particular emphasis on his struggles with form and the role of language in poetry. The author describes the poet's journey from childhood inspirations with Mickiewicz, through his curation of poets' museums, to a sophisticated philos-ophy of speech that combines light as a symbol of cognition and language as an extension of human life and memory. The text also explores Kass's masterful approach to the creative act, fraught with tension, anxiety, and a spiritual struggle with form, as well as his role as teacher and mentor through Letters to an (Un)Recognized Poet, where he expresses ambivalent reflec-tions on the poetic process, inspiring deep self-inquiry, bringing poetry closer to spiritual medi-tation and the search for meaning.
