Abstract

The presented review tackles the subject of postsecularism, the history of the term. Postsecularism is a cultural phenomenon resulting from the changes spirituality is undergoing in the modern world. Religious experiences are balanced by spiritual ones generated in contact with arts, both high (painting, literature), and pop-culture (e.g. football matches). Postsecularism (the shaping process of this phenomenon) can be also found in literature. Authors of the reviewed book analyse
the creative works of Polish Romantic writers (their understanding of sacrum), modernists (secularism), and authors of modern literature (postsecularism).
