Abstract
Norwid, from the “inter-epoch” perspective, appears to be particularly interesting as a mythopoeist of the previous epoque, especially when – in 1860 – he created a new founding myth of Juliusz Słowacki’s writing, referring inter alia to "Król-Duch" ["The Spirit King"]. In my paper I suggest that mysteries, such as "Wanda" and "Krakus", echo Norwid’s in-depth reading of Słowacki’s genesian works, especially his dramas just as "Sen srebrny Salomei" ["The Silver Dream of Salomea"]. Observation of this kind seems vital as far as revaluation of Norwid’s early drama storylines is concerned. The revaluation enables determination of the very beginning of his intetextually sophisticated “laboratory” art of writing, “depicted” in mysteries written before Promethidion (and in Zwolon as well). Quasi-genesian origins of "Wanda" and "Krakus" require revision of thinking about Norwid’s mysteries and relocation of his postromanticist breakthrough in the period before the renowned “two dialogues with epilogue” ("Promethidion. Two Dialogues with Epilogue").
