Abstract
The topic of the paper is the life and work of Dr. Krystyna Krzemień-Ojak (1932–2016), a distinguished scholar of German philosophical literature into Polish (Schelling, Adorno Schnädelbach, Dietzsch) and also literature
(J.W. Goethe’s "The Green Snake and the Beautiful Lily", Jean-Paul’s prose). The author tries to reconstruct a biography of the translator, emphasising the virtues of her outstanding monograph on Polish romanticism, based on the knowledge of German philosophy, entitled "Maurycy Mochnacki. The cultural programme and literary critical thought" (1975). To the personal findings of the researcher, who collaborated with Dr. Krzemień-Ojak on editions of Bonaventure, Goethe and von Schubert, he joined his own memories and fragments of correspondence with her. The whole is complemented by an Annex containing a bibliography of the translations of Krystyna Krzemień-Ojak from German into Polish
