Abstract
Although this article is devoted to translations of the poem "Strasna zaba" by Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński, it generally discusses wide spectrum of possible translations and retranslations. It starts with the reflections on difficulties connected with translating this poem and possible solutions to the emerging problems. Then we are presented with the ingenious translation by Robert Stiller who decided to use a different speech defect to render the main problem of translating Strasna zaba. It seems that such solution opens a new window of opportunities for those who would like to retranslate this poem again into Polish and at the same time is very Gałczyńskiesque. Thanks to this we can see that translation can enrich not only the target language but also the source language.
