Abstract

Despite the passage of time, Romanticism is still present in the Polish culture, and recently the works of romantics are increasingly reinterpreted by the creators of pop culture. The mysticism and mystery of the era, as well as the attachment to Polish traditions allows us to introduce contemporary readers, viewers and music lovers to the game with symbols, motifs and history. One of the readily used works of the 19th century is Mickiewicz’s "Dziady". The dramatic masterpiece gave rise To, for example, a literary piece combining the elements of fantasy and crime story – "Pies i klecha. Tancerz" by Łukasz Orbitowski and Jarosław Urbaniuk. The present article offers a discussion on and analysis of this piece.
