Abstract
The article discusses and analyses Ewa Śnieżyńska’s book „The Beautiful Castle on the Hill”. Horoscopes – a forgotten historical source. The book, by an experienced researcher from Kraków, exposes the source of horoscopes rarely used by historians and literary historians. Meanwhile, it allows us to revise many of the facts learned by Polish academia, and above all to broaden and enrich our knowledge of the culture and the history of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The article ends with a recommendation: Those who are interested in the little known elements of the past affecting people’s lives, who do not only look on history through the prism of dates, but as a way for generations to understand the world, let them reach for this book.
