Abstract
The article discusses traces of Polish influence on the formation and activities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church elite of early modernity. The primary forms of that influence came from the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Polish educational institutions, and private libraries including books both in Polish and Latin. The impact of Western thought can be seen in literary and theological texts of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church writers.
