Abstract

The article takes issue with two reviews of the Catalogue of Sapiecha family from Krasiczyn Library: by Michał Choptiany and by Piotr Trafiłowski. In the midst of his discussion concerning particulars, the author argues for assuming a much broader perspective - one that would take into consideration the problems of local libraries. One of the main flaws of the catalogue - lack of the information on history of the collection - is connected with the absence of primary sources.
