Abstract
The non-famous works of Polish polemical prose of XVII century, with apologetic outlook, are investigated in the article. A new wave of polemical discussion on the base of Kasian Sakowych work EnANOP0Q£I£ or the representative and mistakes explaining, eresey and prejudices in Greek Rus Orthodox Church, that wave was called with transition to the Roman Catholic creed. The well-known literary figures of the Baroque epoch took part in dispute; Petro Mohyla that showed his protest with the help of social theological treatise orthodox character “Litos...” and Pahomijy Woina Oranski, protects union Catholics in his work The mirror or curtain. The main conceptual means, individual authors’ styles and traditional orathorical methods go back to preceding literary periods are analysed. It is done the systematizing of artistic ways, plots and images, refer to the idea of church unity, on the base of analysing one of phase of polemics instead of traditional dualism of polemical apologetics the triangle method was used, that testified about ambiguous estimation of events after the Brest Union from the side of society. The research is called to stimulate to deeper learning of sarmath climate in Polish prose of XVII century.
