Abstract

The aim of the article is to draw attention to the need to create a Biographical dictionary of writers of Warmia and Mazury from the earliest times to the present day. It would be a compendium of knowledge about writers who were associated with the territory of today’s land of Warmia and Mazury, changing its names and face over centuries. The subject of research would be both those who visited the land and were creatively inspired. The lexicons and dictionaries created so far are incomplete, contain factual errors, require correction and supplementation, and need to be expanded with a large number of personal entries.
