Abstract

The article presents a review of a multi-author monograph, consisting of 32 articles, entitled Mickiewicz’s Debuts, Romantics’ Debuts, edited by Jarosław Ławski and Łukasz Zabielski. According to the author, the monograph demonstrates the importance of the debut as a diverse and multidimensional phenomenon: literary, sociological, psychological, but also demographic and even economic. The author concludes that the book will probably meet with a positive reception by its readers and will serve as a basis for a discussion on the complex and at the same time fascinating re-discovered phenomenon of debuts.
