Abstract

This is a reminiscence of prof. Bogusław Nowowiejski – one of Białystok’s most recognizable linguists, an unquestionable authority in the field of Polish linguistics, who participated in the formation of Poland’s modern language policy. His research interests concentrated around such subjects as: the history of the Polish language, dialectics, onomastics, varieties of Polish characteristics in Eastern Borderlands, as well as urban or modern media language.
