Abstract

The article outlines the history of the Publishing House of SocioCultural Association “Pojezierze”, operating in the years 1957–1991, in which Andrzej Wakar played a key role as the head and editor-in-chief. This institution contributed to the dissemination of knowledge about Lithuanian literature in Poland thanks to the publication of translations of works such as "Raudonmedžio rojus" [TN: "Mahogany Paradise"] by Vytautas Sirijos-Giry, "Metai" [TN: "The Seasons"] by Kristionas Donelaitis, "Anykščių šilelis" [TN: "Anykščių Manor"] by Antan Baranauskas and an anthology of stories entitled "The Evergreen Maple".
