Abstract

The article focuses on part of the history of Library in Insterburg, featuring the biographies and profiles of its four outstanding workers: Artur Kopp - a classic philologist, university professor and folk songs collector; Fritz Rhode - a historian, director of the University Library in Marburg; Clara Nast - a writer of books for children; and Roswithy Poll - a specialist in librarianship, former director of the University Library in Erlangen.
