Abstract

The article shows the images of martial childhood in Joanna Papuzińska’s publications. The image of war reality seen through the eyes of a child consists of individual images, such as: lack of food, lack of clothes, bombardment, separation from loved ones, home, basement, soldiers, everyday routine and children’s games, concealing identity. Joanna Papuzińska, drawing on the principles of the poetics of space, draws a picture of the war, while explaining to the young reader what the war is and minimizing its cruelty in the textual message.
