Abstract

Michał Siedlecki carries out an exegesis of prose works of the author of Metaphysics of the Province in the context of bibliotheca mundi literary motif. This trope is one of the main – besides the metaphysical underscores - dominating narratives and semantic themes in Kaminski’s writings. It is the most representative for all his works. Novels of this twice laureate of Wiesław Kazanecki Literary Award in years 2011 and 2013 should actually just be treated as a single work, refined in terms of literacy, aesthetics and artistic values, a kind of an opus magnum, in which the magical universe of the works of the author of Fuga is a world woven from a labyrinth on numerous tomes. An ongoing study and discovery can be an intellectual adventure, both great and full of passion for literature.
