Abstract

Author of the book „10 Simple Solutions to Stress” Claire M. Wheeler presents ten simple, but effective and creative ways that enable to reduce the negative impact of stress. The consequence of not dealing effectively with stress are health, emotional and social problems. Stress management brings many benefits, from the purification of the mind from the unnecessary tension to the opening of the space for creativity and spiritual development. The book is addressed to readers wanting in a concise way to learn more about the phenomenon of stress, that the author bases on the scientific, psychological research, but also it enables to perform a series of surveys and questionnaires, allowing for an analysis of its own characteristics and features in this area, the assessment of vulnerability to stress and it suggests ways to combat malaise, which means that the information contained in it can also be used in a practical way. This is the strongest point of the reviewed item, published in 2016 by the Gdansk Psychology Publishing.
