Abstract
The history of relationships between Russia and Italy is one of the most important problems in the field of international communication. It is a part of interaction between Russia and Europe as European culture in general was founded on the Ancient Rome and Ancient Greece antique basis. It is traditionally considered that „raised on Rome ruins” Italy played a great part in the spiritual life of Europe. Considering this at the end of 20th – beginning of 21th century researchers of russian-italian cultural connections tried to analyze the past again „to see new stages and aspects of two great European cultures interaction, reveal little-known facts or even ones that were unknown before, reconsider the problem of Russia and Italy interaction in a creative way”. The article is an analytical review of publicistic and documentary literature devoted to the problem of the first wave of Russian immigration to Italy and to some questions of interperception between Russians and Italians in the 20-30ies of the 20th century.
