Abstract
The author analyses the possibilities of the Deutsch National Bibliothek’s library catalogue. This article discusses the elements of this catalogue, such as the ability to search for publications with the aid of a thesaurus using Dewey’s classification. With this tool you can search for publications from individual classifications, which very often turns out to be helpful in locating publications on a specific topic. Another advantage of the catalogue tested by the article’s author is that it also allows access to individual parts of the German national bibliography, which has been abandoned in many other National Libraries.
